Time to unboring your broccoli.
Inspired by that random stuff that needed to be used in the crisper: radishes from some salad, broccoli from some vague thought of eating healthy. So what to do? combine them into a side! Result? Success!
|Mise en Place|
|1 head||broccoli florets||1 tbs||olive oil|
|1 bunch||radishes, sliced||3 tbs||butter|
|1 small||shallot, sliced||big pinch||kosher salt|
|1 clove||garlic, minced||a couple twists||ground pepper|
|1/2 lemon||juice||1/4 cup||toasted, sliced almonds|
|1||In saute pan and olive oil over medium high heat, sear broccoli and radishes for 2-3 minutes|
|2||Once broccoli starts to take on a little color, add in shallots, garlic and butter, cook 1-2 minutes more|
|3||Evac to bowl. Toss with lemon juice, salt, pepper|
|4||Plate, topping with toasted almonds|
