The perfect house salad. Tangy creamy dressing, crisp lettuce, mix of veggies, crunchy croutons. What more could you ask for from a humble salad?
You can put any veggies in here really. Carrots are nice. Green beans wouldn’t suck. Radishes rock if you want to replace the onions.
This will serve 2 for a big portion and 4 for a small portion. It’s easy to scale up to party size too, just multiply.

Step | Action |
0 | Toss baguette pieces with olive oil, 1 tsp kosher salt, and black pepper |
1 | In hot skillet, add baguette, toss every minute or so until browned and crunchy |
2 | Whisk vinegar, mayo, salt, together. |
3 | Slowly whisk in ev olive oil. Start tasting at 4 tbs, you may need all 6, you may need more or less |
4 | Add garlic and pepper to dressing |
5 | Toss all veggies, cheese, and croutons with dressing |
6 | Eat! |
