Thai Steak Salad

It’s gonna be cold, colD, coLD, cOLD, COLD!


Dressing & Marinade

Ingredients

  • Juice and zest of three limes
  • 4 tbs soy
  • 3 tbs fish sauce
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 serrano pepper slice wafer thin
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flake

Directions

  1. combine
  2. reserve some for dressing
  3. use the rest to marinade steak

Steak Salad

Ingredients

  • Skirt or Flank steak
  • 4 parts Romaine
  • 1 part Mint
  • 1 part Cilantro
  • Tomato
  • Scallions
  • Seeded Cucmber
  • Chopped toasted peanuts

Directions

  1. Marinade steak for at least an hour
  2. Sear it off, leave it whole, chill (or not)
  3. Combine salad in proportions you like – mine are above
  4. Put salad in freezer for 10 minutes (make it cold)
  5. Slice steak
  6. Toss salad with dressing
  7. Top with steak
  8. Serve
